Google mistakenly pushed secret Android Security Update in July 2019 to some users

Google usually releases Android version updates at the beginning of each month to resolve vulnerabilities. Of course, Google itself mainly pushes new firmware to its own devices. However, this time Google made a mistake in the push process and will still test the dogfood version to the user, the dogfood version was originally only tested by Google internal staff. According to some users, it seems that they will only receive pushes when the developer option is turned on, but even so many users receive this confidential version of the push.

The dogfood version is just a beta version of the secret, but the worst part is that these versions of Google are mainly used to fix Android security vulnerabilities. Due to advance push or leakage in July 2019, there may be hackers to explore potential vulnerabilities by studying the firmware pushed by Google. The description for this update reads:

Security update available

CONFIDENTIAL INTERNAL ONLY — This is a confidential Googlers-only OTA to update your devices to Android 9 with July 2019 security patches and critical bugfixes. You may use your device normally but do not discuss or comment on this update externally. Send feedback to android-dogfood-discuss@. see go/release-faqs for more info!

Update size: 79.8 MB

Although Google has stopped pushing the dogfood version to some users after receiving user feedback, there are still many users who have successfully upgraded to the latest version. The media sent emails to Google about possible potential security issues, but as of the date of this article, Google has not issued a statement on the matter.
