Biostar Releases Z690A-SILVER Motherboard: Support DDR4-5000+, 8 SATA lll ports
Biostar announced the launch of the new Z690A-SILVER motherboard, a new addition to its Z690 motherboard product line, in an ATX form factor. Biostar says the new motherboards can unlock the full potential of Intel’s Alder Lake platform, bringing new features to the desktop.
The Z690A-SILVER motherboard follows the silver and black color scheme and adopts a power supply scheme composed of 70A Dr.MOS and proprietary digital PWM technology, providing a continuous and stable power supply. It is equipped with four DDR4 memory slots that can support 5000+MHz (OC) frequency; provides one PCIe 5.0 x16 slot, one PCIe 4.0 x16 slot, and two PCIe 3.0 x1 slots; two PCIe 4.0 M.2 slots of 2280 specification, one M.2 slot of 22110 specifications (PCIe 3.0 x4 or SATA III), and eight SATA III ports; two USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C ports, five USB 3.2 Gen2 ports, two USB 3.2 Gen1 ports, six USB 2.0 ports.
The Z690A-SILVER motherboard supports VIVID LED DJ, RGB SYNC, and LED ROCK ZONE (5V and 12V), also provides an HDMI 2.0 port and a DP port, as well as a 2.5Gbps LAN port, and is equipped with a module that supports Wi-Fi and Bluetooth M.2 slot. Its motherboard BIOS provides EZ MODE, which is more friendly to ordinary users, making various system settings easy. Through the new Smart-Update utility, you can easily obtain, install and update drivers.
When Intel released the 12th generation Core series processors last year, Biostar released three Z690 motherboards, all of which belong to the ATX specification. Among them, Z690 VALKYRIE and Z690A VALKYRIE are flagship products, equipped with 20-phase power supply, equipped with a dedicated cooling system, and adopted an active cooling scheme. The RACING Z690GTA, on the other hand, is aimed at gamers and content creators and uses 17-phase power. The launch of the Z690A-SILVER has further enriched Biostar’s Z690 motherboard product line to meet the needs of different user groups.
It is not yet clear when the Z690A-SILVER motherboard will be available, as well as its price.
