Bethesda will announce the release date of “Starfield” next week

“Starfield,” developed by Bethesda Game Studios, has long been at the top of the Steam platform’s wish list rankings, and the new space-themed game has been highly anticipated by many players. In the past two years, Microsoft and Bethesda have been actively promoting this game and maintaining a high level of enthusiasm.

According to Wccftech, Bethesda may soon announce that it will hold a “Starfield” release event, demonstrating the game’s specific gameplay and release date, perhaps as soon as next week. Although there is no exact date, rumors suggest that it will not be long and may be scheduled for some time in March, at which time the release date of “Starfield” will also be announced. At last year’s Xbox & Bethesda Showcase game event, Bethesda released the first real-time demonstration video.

Bethesda originally planned to release “Starfield” on November 11, 2022, an important day because it is the 11th anniversary of Bethesda’s most successful work, “The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.” Later, Bethesda announced a delay until the first half of 2023, and the latest news suggests that Bethesda will schedule it for June of this year.

If this news is accurate, it means that “Starfield” will face significant competition at the time of its release. According to the current known game release schedule, “Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League” will be released on May 26, “Street Fighter 6” on June 2, “Diablo IV” on June 6, and “Final Fantasy XVI” on June 22.

Compared to these games, “Starfield” may not necessarily have a significant advantage, but being added to the Game Pass subscription service on the day of its release could be a plus. Rumors suggest that Microsoft hopes “Starfield” will be an exclusive game and an important part of saving the Xbox Series S/X game console, which will be a significant pressure.
