Bethesda announces postponement of Starfield and Redfall

Bethesda announced that Starfield from Bethesda Game Studios and Redfall from Arkane Austin will be delayed until the first half of 2023. When Microsoft’s “Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase” officially announced this year’s “Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase”, the poster hinted that there would be content involving Starfield, which made many players look forward to a real machine demonstration. The sudden announcement of bounced tickets is expected to disappoint many players.

Bethesda said players’ anticipation for Starfield and Redfall has made it exciting and motivated game developers. Whether it’s Bethesda Game Studios or Arkane Austin’s development team, they have incredible pursuits for their own games, and Bethesda also wants to ensure that players get the best and most polished version.

Bethesda Game Studios and Arkane Austin both commented separately on the delay, both agreeing that more time is needed for the game to get better. It is understood that both games will be released on the Xbox Series S/X and PC.

Starfield is a game that Microsoft and Bethesda have actively promoted in the past two years. The new space theme has made many players look forward to it. Bethesda originally planned to release Starfield on November 11, 2022, which is a big day because it coincides with the 11th anniversary of the release of one of Bethesda’s most successful titles, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. There’s no set release date for Redfall, but the original target was summer 2022.
