Lenovo launches 2023 IdeaPad Duet 3i 2-in-1 laptop

Recently, with the launch of laptops equipped with Nvidia’s RTX 40 series mobile graphics cards, the gaming laptop market has been very hot. However, for some business or student groups who do not need too much performance, thin and light laptops or 2-in-1 laptops may be a more suitable choice. According to Notebookcheck, Lenovo will launch the 2023 IdeaPad Duet 3i 2-in-1 laptop for students at the 2023 World Mobile Communications Conference (MWC 2023).

Compared to the old model, the 2023 IdeaPad Duet 3i has reduced its screen bezels to a certain extent. The screen stand has also been changed from the previous Surface-like bracket to a keyboard protective cover support, with a space for storing a stylus on the back of the cover. The laptop features an 11.5-inch touch screen with an IPS panel, a maximum brightness of 400 nits, and 100% DCI-P3 color gamut coverage. The laptop supports WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1, has two 2W speakers and has a battery capacity of 35.6Wh.

In terms of ports, the new IdeaPad Duet 3i is equipped with two Type-C ports and a 3.5mm audio port. One of the Type-C ports is a full-featured port, while the other supports both power and data transmission. The 2023 IdeaPad Duet 3i can be configured with up to 8GB of LPDDR5 memory and a 256GB PCIe solid-state drive, which should be sufficient for daily use by students.

The 2023 IdeaPad Duet 3i is available with either an Intel N100 or N200 processor, both of which are designed with four cores and four threads, with a 6MB L3 cache and a 6W TDP. The main difference between the two processors is their CPU boost frequency and integrated graphics specifications. The N100 has a boost frequency of 3.4GHz and 24 EUs for its integrated graphics, while the N200 has a boost frequency of 3.7GHz and 36 EUs for its integrated graphics.

The old IdeaPad Duet 3i used an Intel Pentium Silver N5030 processor, which also had four cores but did not support hyperthreading. Its base frequency was 1.1GHz and its boost frequency was 3.1GHz, with a 4MB L3 cache and a default TDP of 6W. Although the number of cores and threads has not changed, thanks to the Gracemont architecture used by the N-series processors, the 2023 IdeaPad Duet 3i still has a significant improvement in processor performance.

The 2023 IdeaPad Duet 3i is priced at 449 euros and is expected to be released in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa in June 2023.
