ASUS launches XG32UQ gaming monitor: 4K UHD, 160 Hz

ASUS has unveiled a new 4K high refresh rate gaming monitor, the ROG Strix XG32UQ. Different from the red, gold, and silver color matching of previous ROG series monitors, this new XG32UQ is built with all-black color matching, which is similar in appearance to the TUF series monitors launched a while ago.

XG32UQ gaming monitor has a screen with 4K resolution and a refresh rate of up to 160Hz, plus its 1ms GTG response time, which is very friendly for playing 3A masterpieces or e-sports games. In terms of color, this monitor using an IPS panel supports 96% of the DCI-P3 color gamut with 10-bit color depth, and with its peak brightness of 600 nits in HDR mode, it can bring players a very vivid picture experience. And its factory color difference of less than 2 dE can also ensure that players do not have to worry about major problems with color accuracy when doing light creations.
As a 4K@160Hz monitor, the XG32UQ certainly takes into account the interface. There are two HDMI 2.1 ports that can support 4K@120Hz lossless images and one DP 1.4 port that can support 4K@160Hz. In addition, it also has a 3.5mm audio interface and two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A interfaces. Therefore, if the player connects the next-generation console to the XG32UQ, there is no problem at all.

In other respects, the XG32UQ, like many monitors, supports AMD FreeSync Premium and NVIDIA G-Sync Compatible, which prevents screen tearing as long as the monitor frame rate is higher than 47 frames. The ELMB mode on ASUS gaming monitors is of course also available. After players turn on this mode, they can effectively improve the clarity of the picture movement.

At present, Asus has not mentioned when the XG32UQ will be listed, and it is not clear how much its price will be. Considering the value of the three letters ROG, the price of XG32UQ should not be too low.
