ASUS Introduces Pro WS W680M-ACE SE mATX Motherboard for Workstations
ASUS has announced the launch of its Pro WS W680M-ACE SE motherboard, specifically tailored for professionals in the realms of artificial intelligence, deep learning, and 3D rendering. ASUS assures that this motherboard, having passed compatibility verification, offers a robust and stable user experience.
Adhering to the Micro-ATX specification, the Pro WS W680M-ACE SE motherboard measures 24.4 x 24.4 cm. It employs the Intel W680 chipset and LGA 1700 socket and supports both 12th and 13th-generation Core, Pentium, and Celeron series desktop processors. The motherboard is furnished with four memory slots compatible with DDR5 ECC, supporting a maximum capacity of 192GB, and features one PCIe 5.0 x16 slot, one PCIe 4.0 x4 slot, and one PCIe 3.0 x1 slot.
The motherboard is equipped with two PCIe 4.0 x4 M.2 slots, each compatible with 2242/2260/2280 specifications, with one directly connected to the CPU. Additionally, the motherboard offers a SlimSAS interface that supports the PCIe 4.0 mode, enabling connection to four SATA interfaces, satisfying the expansion needs of professional users. The motherboard also includes four additional SATA interfaces.
Regarding rear I/O interfaces, the Pro WS W680M-ACE SE motherboard boasts a DP1.4 interface, an HDMI2.1 interface, a VGA interface, four USB3.2 Gen1 Type-A interfaces, a USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A interface, a USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C interface, two 2.5GbE Ethernet ports, a 1GbE Ethernet port, a BIOS FlashbackTM button, and audio interfaces. ASUS has also incorporated a socket for a USB 3.2 Gen2x2 Type-C interface on the motherboard for front panel extension. The motherboard comes with the ASPEED AST2600 chip, providing a dedicated 1GbE Ethernet port and VGA interface for remote workstation management and operations such as system reset or restart.
