ASUS Announces ROG Strix Scope II 96 Wireless Gaming Keyboard

During Computex 2023, ASUS announced the advent of the ROG Strix Scope II 96, a wireless gaming keyboard, boasting exceptional multifunctionality. Embracing a 96% layout, it retains all the features and number keys of a standard keyboard, consolidating them into a more space-efficient design.

Fabricated with an aluminum frame, the ROG Strix Scope II 96 wireless gaming keyboard is furnished with ASUS’s brand-new ROG NX Snow mechanical switches, guaranteeing sensitive response, fine control, and a linear keystroke experience. Further enhancing its appeal is the support for hot-swapping and its impressive stability. Inbuilt sound-absorbing foam and dampers mitigate noise and echo, thus improving the muted effect when typing. Pre-lubricated, low-friction keyboard stabilisers ensure smoother keystrokes and greater stability for longer keys. Partnered with durable ROG PBT double-shot keycaps or UV-coated ABS keycaps, this keyboard delivers an outstanding tactile sensation and robustness.

Gamers have the option to pair the ROG Strix Scope II 96 with up to three devices via Bluetooth. Alternatively, they may opt to use the 2.4 GHz mode, utilising the ROG SpeedNova wireless technology and the Omni receiver for wireless connections, making it the first keyboard under ASUS to be equipped with this receiver that supports multiple wireless device connections. Additionally, the keyboard retains a wired USB connection. This keyboard offers a battery life of 1500 hours, which diminishes to 90 hours with the RGB lighting effects activated.

The ROG Strix Scope II 96 wireless gaming keyboard supports real-time macro recording, enabling adjustments to the keyboard’s lighting mode, brightness, profile switching, and Bluetooth pairing via hotkeys. Equipped with a dial, it allows for the adjustment of volume and media playback. Furthermore, the hotkeys at the top share functions with the function keys, enabling operations such as launching the Xbox game control bar with a single keypress.
