The Z790 chipset is not unexpectedly present on ASRock’s most high-end Taichi series. Like the previous AMD X670E chipset, in addition to the normal Z790 Taichi, it also provides a Z790 Taichi Carrara covered with white marble heat dissipation armor, and a Carrara textured cooling fan is also included.

Z790 Taichi motherboard adopts 24+1+2 phase SPS Dr.MOS design, and with the help of heat dissipation fins and heat pipes to improve heat dissipation performance, the perfect power supply and heat dissipation module design are fully prepared for extreme overclocking, so as to give full play to the performance of Intel’s 13th generation Core processor. It offers PCIe 5.0 slots for top-of-the-line graphics cards, as well as PCIe 5.0 M.2 slots, ready for the latest PCIe 5.0 SSDs.

PG Lightning is a new series launched under the Phantom Gaming series of ASRock’s gaming brand. It is aimed at gamers with limited budgets. This time, it brings the Z790 PG Lightning to the Intel platform. Like the Z790 PRO RS, both motherboards use a 14+1+1 phase SPS Dr.MOS design, providing a 2.5Gb Ethernet port, and four PCIe 4.0 M.2 NVMe SSD slots. In addition, the ITX motherboard Z790 PG-ITX/TB4 with Thunderbolt 4 ports is specially designed for small case lovers.

Another unique feature of the ASRock Z790 motherboard is the provision of an eDP connector, a new customization concept that allows users to install an additional monitor in the chassis itself, opening up new possibilities for a personalized design. ASRock says it will debut a 13.3-inch side panel kit that perfectly matches the standard form factor chassis.

ASRock has not provided the price of these products and the specific time to market.
