Apple will launch 14.1-inch iPad Pro next year with mini-LED screen and M3 chip

Previous reports suggested that Apple initially planned to launch a new iPad Pro model this year, featuring an exceptionally large screen, specifically a 14.1-inch tablet computer, boasting more powerful performance. However, following a change in plans, the company decided to abandon this idea and instead shift its focus to new models with OLED screens slated for release next year.

According to Wccftech, Apple has not abandoned the 14.1-inch iPad Pro and plans to unveil it next year, thereby expanding the iPad Pro product line while also revealing details about several other new products.

Unlike the 11/12.9-inch OLED iPad Pro models, the 14.1-inch iPad Pro will continue to feature a mini-LED screen, offering a luminance of up to 3000 nits and a refresh rate of 120Hz. The reason for not adopting OLED screens across the board is straightforward: the cost. Apple needs to keep expenses in check.

The 14.1-inch iPad Pro will showcase a new design with slim bezels and will be powered by the new M3 chip, manufactured using TSMC’s 3nm process, and equipped with 8GB of unified memory. Interestingly, leaked information indicates that the GPU will have 12 cores, which is peculiar given that the M3’s GPU has 10 cores, and the higher-tier M3 Pro has at least 14 cores. This discrepancy has led some to question the authenticity of the news, suspecting it might be false.

Furthermore, Apple is also set to introduce the new Apple Pencil 3, equipped with interchangeable magnetic tips for various applications such as technical drawing and painting. The Magic Keyboard will also receive an upgrade to an aluminum material and will include two additional USB-C ports.
