Apple Quietly Increases ICloud Subscription Prices in the UK, Brazil, Iceland, Saudi Arabia and Other Countries

Following announcements by online services like YouTube, Netflix, and Disney+ that cost factors necessitate price increases, Apple appears to be adjusting the pricing for its iCloud service in certain regions.

In the UK, the subscription cost for iCloud, starting with the 50GB plan, previously priced at £0.79 per month, has been adjusted to £0.99. The 200GB plan has shifted from £2.49 to £2.99, and the 2TB version has jumped from the original £6.99 to £8.99, reflecting an average increase of about 25%.

Beyond the UK, price adjustments have surfaced in several regions, including Poland, Romania, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, South Africa, Sweden, Tanzania, Turkey, Brazil, Colombia, Hungary, and Iceland, among others.

This adjustment could be linked to fluctuations in international currency exchange rates, or it may reflect local operational costs, especially since the introduction of iCloud+ services, which include privacy relay, hidden real email, and HomeKit security video features, have inevitably added to Apple’s expenditures.

However, Apple has not officially attributed this hike to any specific reasons and has also not disclosed whether they plan to adjust subscription prices in more regions in the future.
