Apple may release AirPods Pro 2 this fall

According to Bloomberg, Apple will launch the second-generation AirPods Pro in the fall of 2022. It is understood that the last time Apple released AirPods Pro was in October 2019. After three years, Apple finally began to update this very popular true wireless earphone product.

As for why Apple chose to update at this time, Gurman writes in his latest Power On newsletter:

Look out for new AirPods Pro in the fall. The current model has been on the market since fall of 2019, so the batteries are already probably in trouble for some early adopters. Also look out for an AirPods Max refresh with new colors (and, we hope, a price drop—$550 is absurd for those headphones).

It is worth mentioning that Ming-Chi Kuo, a well-known Apple whistleblower, also broke the news that Apple plans to launch AirPods Pro 2 in the second half of 2022. Therefore, the accuracy of this revelation should be quite high.

As for the configuration information of AirPods Pro 2, the media did not introduce too much but combined with previous information, AirPods Pro 2 will be equipped with better chips. Compared with the H1 chip, it will be greatly improved, including providing better active noise reduction, longer battery life, sound quality performance, and support for Apple Music’s lossless audio.
