Apple CEO Unveils Robust iPad Sales, Despite No New Releases

During the exposition of the fiscal year 2023 financial report, Apple CEO Tim Cook highlighted the performance of iPad sales, noting that this year’s figures were achieved without the introduction of any new models. However, he divulged that the company does not plan to launch any new iPad products before the end of the year.

Apple’s financial data revealed that the iPad’s revenue for the previous quarter stood at $6.443 billion, a noticeable decline from the $7.174 billion recorded in the same period last year. Over the entire fiscal year of 2023, the iPad generated $28.3 billion in sales revenue, a slight decrease from the $29.292 billion of the previous fiscal year.

The last announcement of a new iPad was in October of the previous year when Apple introduced new models of the iPad Pro series and the 10th generation iPad. The 5th generation iPad Air was released in March of that year, and there have been no updates to the iPad mini since September 2021.

According to Tim Cook’s statements, there are likely to be no major product updates before the end of this year, suggesting that new iPad models, possibly including an iPad Pro series equipped with an M3 processor and a new iPad Air, won’t be introduced until at least the spring of next year. It remains uncertain whether the iPad mini will be updated alongside them.

As for the upcoming year, the spotlight will be on the imminent introduction of the Vision Pro. Apple has already commenced the training of Apple Store staff in preparation for the launch of the Vision Pro next year.
