Apache Wicket 8.0.0-M8 has been released, Wicket is a Java language Web development framework, and Struts, WebWork, Tapestry similar. It is characterized by an effective separation of HTML and code (in favor of programmers and artists), rule-based configuration (reduced use of XML and other configuration files), the learning curve is low (development and C / S similar ), Easier to debug (less error type, and easy to locate).
The version has abolished the dependency of Joda Time, and the wicket-datetime module has been removed from the Wicket distribution. The user will be reminded to migrate to the new component that has been added to the wicket-extensions module, based on the Java 8 Date and Time API. For those who need to use the old wicket-datetime class, the code has been migrated to the WicketStuff project. You can add the following dependencies to use:
