AMD RX 6600 official specifications and gaming performance exposure

AMD or other manufacturers usually give some official data and briefings before sending products for testing, and there will also be some official game performance data. Videocardz reveals the complete official RX 6600 specifications and game performance data.

AMD RX 6600 has 1792 stream processors, which is 256 fewer than the XT version. This card is also the most entry-level model in the RDNA2 desktop version, but this is not the only product with this configuration. The RX 6600M mobile version and Radeon Pro W6600 and W6600M have been released before.

Official clock speeds are 2044 MHz game clock and 2491 MHz boost clock. Power consumption TBP is 132W, which is 28W lower than RX 6600 XT. The memory part is equipped with 8GB GDDR6, but the note is marked “up to”, which may also indicate that there will be a 4GB version.

RX 6600 competes with NVIDIA RTX 3060 and RTX 2060. Under the 1080p resolution setting, most of them can reach an average of 60+ FPS or more. The platform used is AMD Ryzen 5 5600X, and AMD Smart Access Memory (Resizable BAR) is enabled.

The RX 6600’s gaming performance is almost the same as the RTX 3060, but it has no advantage in e-sports such as “Apex Legends”, “PUBG Mobile”, etc. In addition, the performance of turning on ray tracing is relatively weak.

AMD RX 6600 is expected to be released on October 13, although the public price has not yet been seen, judging from the current shortage of graphics cards, it should be much higher than the official price.
