Alienware will bring new QD-OLED gaming monitors

During the proceedings of TwitchCon 2023, Alienware, a subsidiary of Dell, unveiled their forthcoming QD-OLED gaming monitors, specifically the AQ3225QF and AQ2725DF. Both harness quantum dot technology and are slated for an early release next year.

The AQ3225QF faithfully perpetuates Alienware’s established design aesthetics, primarily characterized by its striking monochromatic contrasts. This monitor boasts a 32-inch curved screen panel, delivering a 4K resolution (3840 x 2160) and a refresh rate of 240Hz. It is further augmented with an adjustable, robust stand and supports AMD Freesync Premium technology. It proudly claims the title of being the world’s premier 4K QD-OLED gaming monitor. Conversely, the AQ2725DF, lauded as the “world’s inaugural QD-OLED design boasting a 360Hz refresh rate,” is equipped with a 27-inch flat panel, proffering a 2K resolution (2560 x 1440).

However, the company refrained from revealing comprehensive specifications for the AQ3225QF and AQ2725DF, nor did they disclose their pricing structures. These pivotal details are anticipated to be announced surrounding the CES 2024 exposition, after which a global rollout of these two exquisite products is expected. Gamers intrigued by QD-OLED gaming monitors might find it prudent to exercise patience, as these offerings promise exceptional value.

Last year, Alienware launched the AW3423DW and AW3423DWF, both of which are adorned with a 34-inch QD-OLED panel, capturing the avid attention of many gaming enthusiasts. They feature a resolution of 3440 x 1440, a curvature rated at 1800R, and a slightly tapered refresh rate of 165Hz. Notably, the AW3423DWF rescinded its support for G-Sync Ultimate, exclusively endorsing AMD FreeSync Premium Pro. Furthermore, it trimmed down one HDMI 2.0 port, leaving it with two DP 1.4 ports and a singular HDMI 2.0 port. In a bid to aesthetically differentiate it, the monitor adopted an all-black finish as opposed to the signature black-and-white, and the erstwhile RGB halo at the rear was omitted.
