The developer installed successfully the Windows 10 IoT version on a 256MB memory calculator
Earlier, we reported that developers had tried to port the Windows 10 IoT version to the HP Prime Graph Calculator but could not boot. The Windows 10 IoT version is an operating system developed for embedded devices, so it seems like no problem to port it to a handheld calculator. It was only during the initial testing phase that it could not be started due to various issues such as compatibility and partitioning. The long-term stuck on the Windows 10 logo interface did not respond during startup.
According to the @imbushuo developer’s latest tweet, the porting work is progressing smoothly, at least the system can be successfully booted to the Windows 10 IoT special edition interface.

Just because of hardware performance, even for versions developed specifically for IoT devices, the Windows 10 IoT special version took four minutes to complete. The HP’s flagship graphics calculator has a processor clocked at 396MHz, and the memory is only 256MB.
In addition to spending nearly four minutes to successfully launch, the developer did not disclose other information, such as whether the number of keys work after the system is successfully booted. Of course, the ability to enhance the functionality of this calculator after installing the Windows 10 IoT version is also unknown. After all, these tests are only of interest to developers.
The IoT version does not have the same interface as the Windows 10 regular version. The IoT version needs to be connected and operated through the Microsoft IoT console application.
