Windows 10 IoT is an operating system developed by Microsoft for embedded devices. For example, the operating system can be installed on an automated door lock for remote control. Recently, a developer trying to install this system on an HP Prime Graphing Calculator.

From the screenshots released by the developer, the current image file has been successfully installed, but the 0xc000017 error code cannot enter the system during the boot phase. The developer installed version is Windows 10 IoT Core, which is the IoT core version. Although the calculator screen is only 320×240, it seems to be fine.

It’s unclear that the developer will eventually be able to successfully launch the Windows 10 IoT on the calculator, but this bold attempt seems to be very interesting. Of course, because the screen is too small, it is not easy to run other applications after successfully starting the system.
