Sony updates PS Remote Play APP, Android 12 already supports DualSense wireless controller
Google Pixel 6 series is already running Android 12, recently, Samsung also announced that it has begun to push OneUI 4.0 based on Android 12 to the Galaxy S21 series, which means that developers and applications can use the new APIs introduced in the new operating system to obtain a better user experience.
Sony recently announced a new version of the PS Remote Play application for Android 12 users, that will allow users to use PlayStation 5’s DualSense wireless controller while expanding the functionality of the DualShock 4 controller, including a touchpad, motion sensor, rumble support, battery indicator, etc. Previously, devices with Android 10 or higher can be paired with DualShock 4 handles, but the new features are unique to Android 12.
Users can use the DualSense wireless controller to pair with Android 12 phones for remote playback or gameplay. Although Sony only mentioned the support of the Android 12 system, some users have reported that Android 11 devices can also be used, but some features are missing, such as a touchpad, rumble support, independent control of the left and right controllers, etc.
