Sony invites PS5 players to participate in the System Software Beta program

For those players who have a PS5 and hope to be the first to test and experience the PS5 update, now may be a good time, because Sony recently sent out an invitation to the majority of PS5 users for the first time in history, and hope that interested players can join the System Software Beta Program for PS5.

The regions for the public test plan are the United States, Canada, Japan, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany. Players in the above regions, as long as they are over 18 years old and have a valid PSN account, can submit an application to Sony through this link to participate in the program. It is currently unknown whether this public testing program will be extended to other countries or regions.

Since the launch of PS5, Sony has released a small update for PS5, mainly related to console stability and bug fixes. However, in the April update, Sony also promised to provide PS5 with support for external storage devices, UI adjustments, and some social functions. But if there are any features/updates that many PS5 players want Sony to launch as soon as possible, it must be to enable the additional M.2 SSD slot inside the PS5. In theory, the speed performance of the SSD on this slot should be similar to the built-in SSD of the PS5 itself.

Sony stated on the related page that not all applicants can finally join this program, and players who successfully join will need to provide Sony with feedback on the use and experience test afterward. Players who have joined the test plan may encounter system stability issues when the test is updated next, just like other beta programs.
