Seagate Releases Officially Licensed Gaming Hard Drive Designed for PS4 and PS5

According to Techpowerup reports, the storage giant Seagate officially announced today that it has launched an officially licensed game hard drive for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4, which is available in 2TB and 4TB versions. It allows users to expand the storage capacity of their consoles, and players can even launch PS4 games directly from the hard drive.

This time, Seagate has carried out a different design for the Game Drive hard disk, and optimized the firmware for PS4 and PS5. It is lightweight, plug-and-play installation can be done without any tools, and the whole process will not take more than 2 minutes. The easy installation process will not make players feel bored and start the game quickly.

As for the connection method, the Seagate Game Drive is connected and powered through the USB 3.2 Gen 1 (USB 3.0) port, and you can enter the game anytime and anywhere without any separate power cord.

And to celebrate the launch of this new product and the upcoming PS4 and PS5 game Horizon Forbidden West, Seagate has teamed up with Sony Interactive Entertainment and Guerrilla to bring a Horizon Forbidden West Limited Edition Game Drive. The hard drive is dominated by white and blue colors, with game elements painted on it. The main character of the game is Aloy. The capacity is also larger, available in 2TB and 5TB versions.

In terms of price, the Seagate Game Drive is priced at $92.49 for the 2TB version and $139.99 for the 4TB version. The Horizon Forbidden West Limited Edition Game Drive is priced at $99.99 for the 2TB version and $159.99 for the 5TB version.
