Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite & X Plus product line leaked

During last year’s Snapdragon Summit, Qualcomm announced the launch of its most powerful computing processor for PCs to date: the Snapdragon X Elite. Featuring the custom-designed Oryon cores, Qualcomm has high hopes for this groundbreaking platform, believing it will usher in a new era of computing and significantly enhance the PC experience.

According to Wccftech, Qualcomm’s next-generation Snapdragon X series lineup for Windows PCs has been leaked in its latest drivers, including the Snapdragon X Elite and Snapdragon X Plus products, totaling eight models with varying core counts, frequencies, and power consumption limits:

  • Snapdragon X Elite X1E84100
  • Snapdragon X Elite X1E80100
  • Snapdragon X Elite X1E78100
  • Snapdragon X Elite X1E76100
  • Snapdragon X Plus X1P64100
  • Snapdragon X Plus X1P62100
  • Snapdragon X Plus X1P56100
  • Snapdragon X Plus X1P40100

The specific configurations of each chip model remain unclear, but it is known that the top-tier Snapdragon X Elite will be equipped with 12 cores, including 8 performance cores and 4 efficiency cores, with a maximum frequency of up to 4.3 GHz. The Snapdragon X Plus is expected to have fewer cores, ranging from 4 to 8, with lower frequency and power consumption settings. Additionally, the drivers reveal that the configured Adreno GPU supports all the latest APIs, including DX11, DX12, and Vulkan.

The Snapdragon X series is manufactured using TSMC’s 4nm process, featuring a 45TOPS NPU and an integrated Adreno GPU delivering 4.6TOPS of computing performance. The new platform supports LPDDR5X memory at 8533 MT/s, with a maximum capacity of 64GB, corresponding to a maximum bandwidth of 136 GB/s. Besides supporting PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD, it will also support UFS 4.0 storage, as well as 5G, Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth 5.4.

The first devices equipped with the Snapdragon X series chips are expected to arrive in mid-2024, with Lenovo having devices featuring the new SoC appearing in Geekbench benchmark tests.
