OWO and Ubisoft jointly launched a limited, Mirage edition of OWO’s haptic feedback shirt

“Assassin’s Creed Mirage” is slated for release on the 12th of October, 2023. The game is reverting to the original gameplay style of the “Assassin’s Creed” series, its graphics forged with the Ubisoft Anvil engine from “Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla”. As reported by Tom’s Hardware, haptic feedback shirt manufacturer OWO recently announced a collaborative product with “Assassin’s Creed Mirage”, aiming to offer players a more immersive gaming experience beyond the visual realm.

This haptic feedback shirt is a limited-edition product, with only 100 pieces available. It is a bespoke version of OWO’s own Founder Limited Edition model. Specifically, the garment can generate haptic feedback at ten upper body locations. The haptic feedback mechanism comprises electrodes and a USB Type-C interface battery with up to eight hours of endurance, connecting to other devices via Bluetooth 5.2. That is to say, it simulates relevant tactile experiences through electrical discharge. The official website claims that this garment can even mimic the sensations of being shot or stabbed.

Besides the unique exterior design of the haptic feedback suit, the co-branded edition also includes a storage bag and a game activation code. Moreover, it can be utilized not only in “Assassin’s Creed Mirage”, but players can also don it while battling in “Apex Legends”, “Halo: Infinite”, and “Half-Life: Alyx”.

The co-branded edition is currently marked as “coming soon”, with no release date or price yet disclosed. However, the non-collaborative Founder Limited Edition is available for pre-order at a price of 499 Euros. If players wish to experience the sensation of being stabbed without shedding any real blood, this suit might be a fitting choice.
