Nvidia will launch the RTX 4060 Ti 8GB on May 24
In the near future, both Nvidia and AMD are ardently preparing for their new generation of mainstream graphics cards—the former is launching the GeForce RTX 4060 series, based on the Ada Lovelace architecture, while the latter is unveiling the Radeon RX 7600 series, predicated on the RDNA 3 architecture. A wealth of information has surfaced recently, indicating that both Nvidia and AMD will introduce their new offerings within the month.
According to VideoCardz, the release schedule for Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 4060 series graphics cards has been ascertained. The initial lineup consists of the RTX 4060 8GB, RTX 4060 Ti 8GB, and RTX 4060 Ti 16GB. The updated timetable is as follows:
- RTX 4060 Ti 8G: Announcement: Mid-May, Release: May 24th
- RTX 4060 Ti 16G: Announcement: Mid-May, Release: 2H July
- RTX 4060 8G: Announcement: Mid-May, Release 1H July
The GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 8GB will be the earliest to launch, slated for May 24th, 2023, a day prior to AMD’s release of the Radeon RX 7600. It’s hard not to surmise this as a deliberate move. Reports suggest that Nvidia originally planned for a May 29th release, but later rescheduled it. Rumor also has it that AMD’s launch date is the same—May 24th. For many, the week after next will be one of bustling activity.
The release of the GeForce RTX 4060 8GB will be a tad later, scheduled for early July. The recently surfaced GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 16GB has also been confirmed, with its anticipated launch in late July. The precise dates for these two graphics cards remain uncertain, with the potential for adjustments.
Some time ago, Gigabyte submitted new documents to the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) pertaining to the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti and Radeon RX 7600 graphics cards, leading many to believe that the launch dates for AMD will not deviate substantially.
