ASRock released two motherboards equipped with Intel N100 processors

ASRock has announced the introduction of two motherboards equipped with Intel N100 processors, specifically the N100M and N100DC-ITX models.

The Intel N100 processor employs the Alder Lake-N chip and is manufactured using Intel’s 7-nanometer process. It boasts four cores and four threads, all being E-Core, with an L3 cache of 6MB. Its maximum turbo frequency is 3.4 GHz, and it integrates an on-die GPU with 24 execution units. It supports AV1 video coding and decoding with a thermal design power of 6W. Given the processor’s low power consumption, both motherboards adopt a passive cooling design, providing an excellent silent experience.

The N100M model adheres to the Micro-ATX specification, housing a single memory slot with support for up to 32GB of DDR-3200 RAM. It is equipped with a PCIe 3.0 x16 slot (operating in x2 mode) and a PCIe 3.0 x1 slot. It also includes a PCIe 3.0 M.2 slot (operating in x2 mode) that supports 2242/2260/2280 form factors and two SATA III ports. Additionally, there is a 2230 M.2 slot for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth modules.

The N100M also features a USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C port (rear), four USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A ports (two front, two rear), eight USB 2.0 ports (four front, four rear), one HDMI port, one DP port, one D-Sub port, a Gigabit Ethernet port (Realtek 8111H), and a PS/2 port. The audio solution is provided by the Realtek ALC897.

The N100DC-ITX complies with the Mini-ITX specification and also features a single memory slot with support for up to 32GB of DDR-3200 RAM. It is equipped with a PCIe 3.0 x4 slot (operating in x2 mode), a PCIe 3.0 M.2 slot (operating in x2 mode) that supports the 2280 form factor, and two SATA III ports. There is also a 2230 M.2 slot for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth modules. This model is powered via a 19V DC supply.

The N100DC-ITX also boasts four USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A ports (two front, two rear), eight USB 2.0 ports (four front, four rear), one HDMI port, one D-Sub port, a Gigabit Ethernet port (Realtek 8111H), and a PS/2 port. The audio solution is provided by the Realtek ALC897.

The pricing and specific launch dates of these two motherboards remain undetermined at this juncture.
