MSI Launches MAG X670E Tomahawk WIFI Motherboard

MSI has announced the addition of the MAG X670E Tomahawk WIFI motherboard to its AMD motherboard lineup, supporting all Ryzen 7000 series processors to date. With the release of the Ryzen 9 7950X3D and Ryzen 9 7900X3D, a BIOS built on AGESA 1.0.0.5 microcode is needed to optimize performance, and the MAG X670E Tomahawk WIFI motherboard is ready for this.

According to TechPowerUp, the MAG X670E Tomahawk WIFI motherboard is designed with military inspiration to provide users with the best experience through a sturdy and durable design. It features a 14+2+1 Duet Rail Power System (DRPS) with 80 A SPS power phase and 8-layer PCB with 2 oz thickened copper, four DDR5 DIMM slots supporting up to 128GB capacity, and support for EXPO. It also comes with three full-length PCIe slots, one PCIe 5.0 x16, and the other two PCIe 4.0 x4, as well as a PCIe x1 slot. It provides four M.2 slots, one of which is PCIe 5.0 x4 and has a screwless M.2 Shield Frozr cooling armor. The other three slots are PCIe 4.0 x4, and two of them also have M.2 Shield Frozr cooling armor.

In terms of I/O interfaces, the MAG X670E Tomahawk WIFI motherboard provides one DP interface and one HDMI interface, as well as eight USB interfaces, including two Type-C connectors, one of which is USB 3.2 Gen2x2 with a speed of up to 20Gbps. It also has a 2.5 GbE network port supported by Realtek, AMD Wi-Fi 6E, and Bluetooth 5.3 wireless modules, and an audio solution using MSI Audio Boost technology, providing 7.1-channel audio.
