Mozilla says it will not delay releasing Firefox during coronavirus outbreak
According to the latest schedule update posted on the official Mozilla Wiki website, Mozilla will not change the Firefox release schedule at this time. Previously, due to the impact of the coronavirus outbreak, Google announces the suspension of version updates for Chrome and Chrome OS and Microsoft also pauses the update of Microsoft Edge. A few days ago, Google also released an updated Chrome and Chrome OS version update schedule.
According to Mozilla’s plan, the stable version of Firefox will continue to be updated every four weeks. Therefore, after Mozilla confirms that Firefox’s release schedule will not be affected by Covid-19, the next stable version of Firefox will be released on April 7, 2020, as planned.
However, Mozilla also pointed out that due to the current situation, its feature development may slow down.
