Minisforum launches HX90G mini PC with AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX & Radeon RX 6650M
Minisforum announced that it will create a new Neptune product line for mini PCs equipped with discrete graphics cards, the first of which is a combination of AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX and Radeon RX 6650M. According to Minisforum, this is the world’s first mini PC with AMD discrete graphics.
HX90G mini PC adopts a new body design, only 2.8L. It is equipped with seven heat pipes, including three for the CPU and four for the GPU. It is also equipped with dual smart fans inside. Both the CPU and the GPU use liquid metal to conduct heat. According to Minisforum, the excellent heat dissipation design allows the HX90G to maintain a relatively low level of noise even when running at full load. It is understood that the CPU and GPU of the HX90G mini PC consume 50W and 100W respectively under 100% full load. Minisforum has equipped the HX90G mini PC with a 260W power adapter to ensure that the Radeon RX 6650M can keep running at 100% without performance loss.
According to the configuration sheet provided by VideoCardz, HX90G mini PC will also be equipped with two 8GB DDR4 memory (SO-DIMM); standard 512GB M.2 2280 PCIe SSD, and one M.2 2280 slot (support NGFF SATA or NVMe PCIe 3.0) is reserved for users to expand storage; M.2 2230 slot supports Wi-Fi and Bluetooth modules; have a 2.5Gbps network card. It can support four 4K@60Hz display outputs, equipped with two HDMI ports and two DP ports; it has three USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports, one USB 3.1 Gen 1 port, and one USB-C port; the operating system is Windows 11 Pro.
Minisforum has not disclosed the price of the HX90G mini PC and the time to market. In addition, Minisforum will launch a combination of AMD Ryzen 9 6900HX with Radeon RX 6650M, and Intel Alder Lake with AMD discrete graphics card to meet the different needs of more users.
