Microsoft has denied the loss file bug with KB4556799 cumulative update for Windows
KB4556799 is a cumulative update released by Microsoft for Windows 10 v1903/1909 this month. This cumulative update also brings some new problems.
For example, some users lost files archived in the personal file directory after installation, and some users have abnormal audio devices after installation, which makes it impossible to play sounds.
In fact, these problems have appeared many times in the cumulative update of the previous version, but Microsoft has never been concerned about these problems, so they are unconfirmed and not fixed.
Until this new cumulative update brought new problems again, it caused some reports in the technology media, and then Microsoft issued a statement that it was investigating these problems.
Microsoft said in the latest announcement that the company has noticed some media reports and some users’ abnormal feedback on the cumulative update on social networks.
At present, Microsoft is contacting users through the Windows 10 Feedback Center for troubleshooting, but for now, the existing data cannot support the confirmation of the problem.
Microsoft said it did not find any abnormalities related to file loss and audio in the telemetry data, which is why the company has not issued a problem statement.
For this reason, Microsoft urges users who encounter the above problems to actively feedback and submit logs in the Feedback Center so that Microsoft engineers can troubleshoot related issues through the logs.
