Microsoft confirms no plans to add support for LTE technology to the Microsoft Surface Pro 7
Microsoft released the new Surface Pro 7 at its conference last week. The new Surface Pro 7 is equipped with the latest 10th generation Intel quad-core processor to improve its performance. It has up to ten hours of battery life and a Type-C interface to meet your connectivity needs (the predecessor Surface Pro 6 does not have a Type-C interface). However, this regrettable news tells us that Microsoft will not currently sell Surface Pro 7 with LTE technology.
When Microsoft was asked if there were any plans to ship LTE technology on the follow-up models of Surface Pro 7, Microsoft made the following statement:
As always, we will continue to listen to our customers and bring products to market based on their feedback. We have nothing more to share regarding LTE in our product line at this time.
Surface Pro (5th generation) is the first product in the Surface series to support LTE technology. Surface Pro (5th generation) even supports pluggable SIM cards and embedded SIM cards. It can still be ordered from Microsoft’s official website.
