Microsoft announces Visual Studio Roadmap
Microsoft recently announced the development roadmap for Visual Studio in the first quarter of 2019, including some of the issues that will be introduced to the IDE. Microsoft emphasises that this document is primarily intended to predict the features that the development team is mainly working on and does not include all of the new features in the next version of Visual Studio.
Depending on the needs of the community, Visual Studio will increase the clarity of displays with multiple DPIs, and some services will move to the background to improve load time. Xamarin developers will get features such as support for Xamarin.Forms 4.0 templates and tools, improvements to Xamarin.Android Designer and Xamarin.Forms Previewer, support for constraint layouts, support for Android API 29 and more.
Also, they will update the Test Explorer to provide better performance for a large number of tests and update WinForms and WPF development tools with .NET Core 3.
