Lenovo Legion Go Handheld Renderings Leaked

Recently, a plethora of manufacturers have unveiled new Windows handheld devices. Notably, after ASUS launched the ROG Ally handheld, Lenovo, a traditional PC behemoth, is poised to delve into this niche market with a forthcoming device christened the “Legion Go.”

According to a WindowsReport article, the Legion Go handheld renderings have emerged, revealing a 16:9 screen and detachable controllers. The design evidently draws inspiration from the Nintendo Switch, presenting a delightful surprise. Moreover, the Legion Go has rear trigger buttons, USB Type-C ports at both the top and bottom, a power button, a headphone jack, and a Micro-SD slot.

The Legion Go sports an 8-inch screen, which surpasses its rivals – the ROG Ally and the Steam Deck – both boasting a 7-inch display. The resolution is likely 1080P, and the device also incorporates a touchpad design reminiscent of the Steam Deck. Under the hood, it runs on AMD’s Phoenix processor, namely the Ryzen 7040 series, based on the Zen 4 architecture and paired with a GPU based on the RDNA 3 architecture. While specifications remain under wraps, they are expected to be on par with the custom Ryzen Z1 Extreme used in the ROG Ally.

Since Valve’s introduction of the Steam Deck handheld last year, the landscape of this gaming format has been significantly invigorated. However, the Steam Deck primarily operates on its native Steam OS, relying on the vast Steam game library and its associated optimizations. In contrast, Windows handhelds like the ROG Ally, despite their more lavish hardware specifications, have considerable room for enhancement in terms of gaming optimization experience.
