Intel Core i9-13980HX mobile processor features 24 cores at 5.6 GHz

At the upcoming CES 2023 show, Intel plans to launch more Raptor Lake processors and H770/B760 chipsets on January 3, 2023, including 13th-generation Core desktop processors without “K” and “KF”, as well as 13th-generation Core mobile processors. Among them, the relevant information of the 13th-generation Core mobile flagship model i9-13980HX has been exposed, with 24 cores, 32 threads, and a turbo frequency of up to 5.6GHz.

13th Gen non-K Core processors

According to WccfTech reports, Intel Core i9-13980HX mobile flagship processor has 8 P-Cores based on the Raptor Cove architecture, and 16 E-Cores based on the Gracemont architecture. There are a total of 24 cores and 32 threads. In addition, the i9-13980HX has a 36MB L3 cache with a maximum turbo frequency of 5.6GHz, which is 0.6GHz higher than the previous generation mobile processor Core i9-12950HX and Core i9-12900HX CPU.

In addition to the desktop processors of the Raptor Lake-HX series, there are regular Raptor Lake-P series such as Core i9-13900HK. It has 14 cores, 20 threads (6 large cores + 8 small cores), a total of 24MB L3 cache, and a turbo frequency of up to 5.4 GHz, which is 0.4 GHz higher than the previous generation Core i9-12900HK.

In addition, at CES 2023, Intel is expected to release B760 motherboards, and the 13th generation Core desktop processors will also be compatible with the original Z690, H670, B660, and H610 motherboards.
