Infinix Launches 260W All-Round FastCharge and 110W Wireless All-Round FastCharge
Transsion Holdings recently announced the release of its TECNO brand’s PHANTOM V Fold, a phone with a foldable screen at MWC 2023. In addition, they announced the upcoming launch of their mass-producible 260W all-round fastcharge and 110W wireless all-round fastcharge plans for their Infinix brand.
The 260W wired fast charging design can charge a 4400mAh battery up to 25% in one minute and fully charge the battery in 7 minutes and 30 seconds. This is achieved through the use of a four-channel charge pump circuit design and a 12C high-rate battery design, which improves the charging conversion rate to 98%. The charger itself adopts 3 sets of gallium nitride (GaN) structures and a transmission line with a 13A specification and built-in E-Marker certification chip design to ensure charging safety. In addition, Infinix claims that the battery can maintain over 90% health after 1000 charging cycles, indicating the reliability of this charging design plan.
As for the 110W wireless charging design plan, it claims to fully charge the battery in 16 minutes. It uses a customized small high-sensitivity sensing coil and reduces the number of coils while increasing the width of the coil to lower the internal resistance of the coil and reduce the temperature rise during charging. It also improves the overall charging efficiency by extending the peak charging time. The wireless charger used in this 110W wireless charging design plan adopts a dual sensing coil design, which allows the phone to be charged vertically or horizontally and reduces the temperature generated during charging with a silent fan.
Infinix proposes a comprehensive fast-charging design plan, including wired fast charging, wireless charging, and compatibility with fast charging standards such as USB-PD 3.0. It also supports reverse charging and low-speed charging at night to protect battery life and skip battery charging for long-term power supply usage modes.
To ensure safe usage, Infinix claims that this charging design plan incorporates over 140 protection mechanisms and more than 20 temperature-sensing elements to ensure normal operation in different extreme environments.
