Google announces the extension of work-from-home time to July next year
Affected by the coronavirus epidemic, most companies in the United States currently rely on remote work from home for maintenance. Prior to this, companies such as Google have announced that work-from-home will be extended to the beginning of next year.
However, at present, the situation of the epidemic situation in many states in the United States is still very severe. Even if we guess from an ideal state, the epidemic situation at the beginning of next year will never change rapidly.
For this reason, the senior management team of Google and its parent company has discussed and decided that most employees of Google and its affiliates will extend their work-from-home to July next year.
CEO Google and its parent company, Sundar Pichai stated in an employee letter that the extension decision was based mainly on the needs of the employee’s family life.
The decision to extend this extension applies to most offices of Google and its affiliates, including offices in Mountain View, the United Kingdom, India, Brazil, and other regions.
In some countries or regions where the epidemic situation has eased, Google has also opened offices, but employees can still choose to work remotely from home if they wish. The decision will involve approximately 200,000 regular Google employees and contract workers.
