GIGABYTE submits multiple new motherboard models to EEC: include five A620 motherboards
AMD officially launched the Ryzen 7000 non-X series CPU at CES 2023. There are three models, namely Ryzen 9 7900, Ryzen 7 7900, and Ryzen 5 7600. The release of the three processors makes AMD processors more cost-effective. At present, only mid-to-high-end chipsets such as X670E, X670, and B650E are currently on sale for AM5 platform motherboards. The A620 chipset motherboards with affordable prices have not yet been released. Recently, Gigabyte submitted a new document to the EEC (Eurasian Economic Commission), involving a variety of A620 motherboard models.
The document revealed seven AMD platform motherboards, five of which are A620 motherboards: A620M D3H, A620M DS3H, A620M S2H, A620M H, A620M K; a B650 motherboard: B650M K; an A520 motherboard: A520M K V2. It can be seen from the naming that these five A620 motherboards are all M-ATX board types. Considering that the target users have relatively lower requirements for motherboard scalability, this board type can also meet most of the needs.
The documents also refer to two Intel platform motherboards, the B560M DS3H PLUS and the B760M K. It should be noted that not all submitted models will eventually be listed, usually, only about 80% of the models will enter the market for sale.
In addition, an ASUS A620 motherboard also appeared on the Internet, the model is TUF Gaming A620M-Plus D5, the publisher said that the motherboard uses a 12+1 power supply. It has a PCIe 4.0 x16 slot, a PCIe 4.0 x4 M.2 slot (directly connected to the CPU), and a PCIe 3.0 x4 M.2 slot (provided by the chipset).
At present, the specific specifications of the A620 motherboard have not been officially announced, and its specifications must be reduced compared to the B650 chipset. It is expected that AMD will officially release the A620 motherboard soon.
The AM5 platform only supports DD5 memory, and the price of DDR5 memory has also dropped significantly recently. With the lower-priced A620 motherboard, it may boost the sales of the Ryzen 7000 series processors.
