GALAX prepares to adjust GeForce RTX GPU prices
Last month, Nvidia introduced its new generation of mainstream GPUs based on the Ada Lovelace architecture, comprising three models: the GeForce RTX 4060, RTX 4060 Ti 8GB, and RTX 4060 Ti 16GB. With the arrival of these products, Nvidia’s latest GeForce RTX 40 series graphics card lineup is gradually reaching completion.
As a core AIC partner of Nvidia, Galax enjoys a high level of recognition in the graphics card market and has historically been resolute in adjusting prices. Boardchannels reports that starting in June, Galax is implementing a new pricing policy. The focus of this adjustment lies primarily on the previously released mid-high/high-end GeForce RTX 4070/4080 series, as well as the former generation mid-range mainstay RTX 3060. The scale of this price adjustment is expected to be significant, with the specific detailed price changes as follows:
– GeForce RTX 4080 series – all reduced by 1000 yuan (around $140)
– GeForce RTX 4070 series – all reduced by 150 to 200 yuan (around $21 to $28)
– GeForce RTX 3060 series – all reduced by 250 yuan (around $35)
– GeForce RTX 3050 series – the price was adjusted by 140 yuan (around $19.50) at the end of last month, no changes this month
– All other series and model prices remain unchanged for the time being
As can be seen, the GeForce RTX 4080 series graphics cards, targeted at high-end gamers, are experiencing a substantial price reduction, amounting to 1000 yuan. Nevertheless, a number of similar products from other brands on the market have adjusted their prices to varying degrees, this move by Galax aims to enhance its competitive position in the market.
The GeForce RTX 4080 features the AD103-300 GPU, which boasts 76 SMs, amounting to 9728 CUDA cores. With a base frequency of 2.21GHz and a boost frequency of 2.51GHz, it is equipped with 16GB of GDDR6X VRAM, a memory bus width of 256 bits, and a speed of 23Gbps.
