Foxit PDF Reader issued a notice that the server was compromised

The well-known PDF reader and editor developer, Foxit Software has sent an email to the user group that the company’s account server has been illegally invaded. Currently, Foxit Software has directly reset all user account passwords, so the next time the user tries to log in, they will directly see the notification requesting to re-edit the password. How the specific attack occurred? Currently, Foxit Software did not reveal. However, people are worried that it is not known whether Foxit has encrypted the user’s account password.

The Foxit Software Account Center is mainly used for users to conduct software trials, purchases, downloads, and view original order records after registering and logging in. At the same time, the user provides the email address, real name, an account password, company name, contact number, and IP address when the user logs in. Foxit said that an attacker has unauthorized access to the user account server, and the attacker can query various detailed account information of all users in the account server.
