Average graphics card prices are finally starting to decline
3DCenter recently compiled the latest graphics card price trends. Since entering 2022, prices for both Nvidia GeForce RTX 30-series and AMD Radeon RX 6000-series graphics cards have slipped, which seems to be a trend. Nvidia is 177% of the official suggested retail price, and AMD is 167%. Of course, this price change may be related to the recent cryptocurrency crash, so it will take another week or two to confirm.
Average prices for GeForce RTX 30-series and Radeon RX 6000-series graphics cards are almost all on a slow rise throughout the second half of 2021, after falling from highs in May last year. With the recent launch of GeForce RTX 3050 and Radeon RX 6500XT, the update of mid-to-low-end graphics cards may have a certain impact on the next price trend. There has been more or less good news in the graphics card market recently, with further easing of shortages in the supply chain helping to boost the supply of graphics cards.
It’s also worth noting that Nvidia has recently started raising the price of its GeForce RTX 30 Founders Edition graphics cards in the EU, which means that the MSRP of 3DCenter as a reference standard also needs to be updated. In order to accommodate the change, 3DCenter will convert the quoted list price from USD to EUR and will include additional VAT. According to the current price trend of GeForce RTX 30 series and Radeon RX 6000 series graphics cards, there may be a larger drop in the next data update.
Although the graphics card price trend summarized by 3DCenter has certain limitations, it is still the most accurate price trend analysis at present.
