ASUS Pro WS TRX50-SAGE WIFI motherboard appears on e-commerce platforms
Last month, AMD officially unveiled the Ryzen Threadripper 7000 series processors, codenamed “Storm Peak,” featuring up to 96 cores based on the Zen 4 architecture. Following this, Asus released its flagship Pro WS TRX50-SAGE WIFI motherboard, meticulously designed to harness the formidable multicore capabilities of these processors, boasting an impressive 36-phase power delivery system.
Recently, tech enthusiasts discovered that the Pro WS TRX50-SAGE WIFI motherboard has appeared on e-commerce platforms, priced at $1087.96. The specific e-commerce platform remains unidentified, and this price does not necessarily reflect the pricing of other TRX50 motherboards.
The Asus Pro WS TRX50-SAGE WIFI motherboard supports both the Ryzen Threadripper 7000X series and the Ryzen Threadripper PRO 7000WX series processors. It features a 36-phase power distribution situated around the SP6 socket, with an extensive heat pipe cooler enveloping the CPU VRM power modules. The board utilizes dual 8-pin CPU power connectors and is flanked by four DDR5 slots on either side of the CPU socket, supporting up to 1TB of ECC memory.
This motherboard offers three PCIe 5.0 x16 slots and two PCIe 4.0 x16 slots, though one of the PCIe 4.0 slots seems to offer only x4 bandwidth. Additionally, it includes three M.2 slots compatible with PCIe 5.0, a SlimSAS interface, and four SATA interfaces, accompanied by an 8-pin and 6-pin power connector for auxiliary power supply when installing multiple PCIe devices. For connectivity, the motherboard is equipped with both front and rear USB 20Gbps Type-C ports, dual wired network cards offering 10Gb and 2.5Gb speeds, and a Wi-Fi wireless network card, culminating in a comprehensively equipped piece of hardware.
