ASUS launched the PN53 mini PC in October of this year. The PN53 is equipped with AMD Ryzen 6000 series processors. ASUS recently
launched the PL64 mini PC, which is different from the PN product line, and the PL series is mainly for the commercial market.
The PL64 mini PC adopts a fanless design, and there are three models, which are equipped with Core i7-1225U, Core i5-1235U, and Celeron 7305 processors. Except for the different processors, the three models are consistent in appearance and interfaces. The PL64 is gray-black as a whole, with four screws on the top and two antennas on the back. The size of the whole machine is 199.7×119.7×33.9mm, the volume is about 0.81L, and the weight is 1 kg. It adopts a DC power supply and the adapter specification is 19V/3.42A.
In terms of external interfaces, the PL64 mini PC has three front USB 3.2 Gen2 interfaces, two COM interfaces, and an earphone jack; there are three rear HDMI 2.0 ports, two antenna ports, one Gigabit Ethernet port (Intel I219V), one 2.5G Ethernet port (Intel I225V), and one DC power port; there are two USB 3.2 Gen1 ports on the side, an anti-theft lock hole, and supports up to three 4K displays. The PL64 mini PC has two PCIe 4.0 x4 M.2 ports and two DDR4 SO-DIMM slots, supporting up to 64GB of memory.
The target market for the PL64 mini PC is outdoor digital billboards, kiosks, IoT control units, etc. Asus claims that this series of mini PCs have passed a number of rigorous tests such as vibration tests and drop tests to meet industry needs.
