ASUS offers a feature named “USB FlashBack” which allows for BIOS updates through a user-friendly tool without the need to access its interface, although availability varies by model.
Earlier this month, users discovered that ASUS had prepared a new BIOS based on AGESA 1.1.7.0 for the ROG CROSSHAIR and ROG STRIX X760 series motherboards. In addition to increasing supported memory capacity to 256GB, this was the first time support was extended to Granite Ridge processors. Granite Ridge, belonging to the Ryzen 9000 series, is a next-generation desktop processor under the Zen 5 architecture, maintaining compatibility with the AM5 platform. Early engineering samples of these processors were recently spotted.
AMD has yet to confirm the release date for the next generation of desktop processors. Dr. Lisa Su, CEO of AMD, is scheduled to deliver the keynote speech at COMPUTEX 2024 on the morning of Monday, June 3, where she is likely to unveil new details about the Zen 5 series architecture.
