ASRock Releases Taichi Lite Series Motherboards: Include Z790 and B650E products

ASRock has announced the introduction of the Taichi Lite series of motherboards, with the first products being the Z790 Taichi Lite and the B650E Taichi Lite, tailored for Intel and AMD platforms respectively. These products were previously exhibited at Computex 2023. Compared to the existing Taichi series, the new products retain the original basic specifications and features but have reduced RGB lighting effects and a more simplistic exterior design. They are simplified, with the focus placed primarily on functionality, performance, and durability.

The Taichi Lite series of motherboards come equipped with 24+1+2 phase power, amply supporting current high-end CPUs. They are fitted with four DDR5 memory slots, compatible with either Intel XMP 3.0 or AMD EXPO technology. Additionally, they feature PCIe 5.0 x16 slots (Z790 can be partitioned into two x8 full-length slots). The Z790 is equipped with four M.2 2280 PCIe 4.0 x4 slots, while the B650E has one M.2 22110 PCIe 5.0 x4 slot and two M.2 2280 PCIe 4.0 x4 slots. Both motherboards include USB4 interfaces and provide sockets for a front-facing USB 3.2 Gen2x2 Type-C interface, supporting Wi-Fi 6E wireless networks.

Moreover, the Z790 Taichi Lite also supports 60W PD 3.0 fast charging, compatible with smartphones, tablets, and laptops. This allows users to charge these devices on their PCs in a shorter span of time without the need to purchase additional high-cost PD chargers.

As the prices of motherboards continue to escalate, particularly in the high-end market, exquisite design and ostentatious RGB lighting effects add considerably to the cost. ASRock hopes to bring high-end motherboards closer to the users’ affordability level through its new Taichi Lite series, offering a more rational price range.
