In the past few years, ASRock has launched a number of Mini PC series, which have been welcomed by many users and have a good reputation in the market. Today, ASRock has made persistent efforts and released an 8-liter DeskMeet series barebones system, with optional Intel B660 and AMD X300 platforms. Intel B660 is compatible with Intel’s latest 12th generation Core desktop processors, and AMD X300 supports AM4 interface CPU and APU (TDP up to 65W), which can provide excellent high-load multitasking performance.
The DeskMeet series is a product derived from the Mini-ITX platform. Its overall size is 168(W)x219.3(D)x218.3(H)mm, and the installation height of the CPU cooler does not exceed 54mm. On this basis, ASRock has made relevant optimizations, streamlined the internal wires required, and provided a customized power supply with 80 PLUS Bronze certification and a rated power of 500W. This targeted design makes the DeskMeet series highly easy to disassemble, users can complete the installation work simply and quickly, and at the same time brings a good heat dissipation effect. It has enough space inside, provides good scalability, and meets the upgrade needs of users.
Different from the general Mini-ITX motherboards, the DeskMeet series provides four memory slots, and the board has a rectangular shape, which can accommodate more interfaces. In addition, the Intel B660 and AMD X300 platforms have different configurations due to differences in specifications.
The ASRock DeskMeet B660 platform has one PCIe 4.0 x16 slot, two M.2 2280 slots (both support PCIe 4.0 x4), one M.2 2230 slot for Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth, and three SATA3 ports. The DeskMeet X300 platform has one PCIe 3.0 x16 slot, one M.2 2280 slot (both support PCIe 3.0 x4), one M.2 2230 slot for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, and two SATA3 ports. In contrast, the specifications and scalability of the Intel platform should be better.
