ASRock launches Z790/B760I Lightning WiFi ITX motherboard
ASRock has announced the launch of new Mini-ITX motherboards, namely the Z790I Lightning WIFI and B760I Lightning WIFI, both of which are part of the Phantom Gaming (PG) product line. These new offerings perpetuate the series’ aesthetic design, featuring a unique black color scheme adorned with the brand’s emblem, though they are devoid of RGB lighting effects.
The Z790I Lightning WIFI and B760I Lightning WIFI boast a 14+1+1 phase power design and a server-grade, low-loss 8-layer PCB design, equipped with a composite VRM cooling module. The former incorporates durable 20K black capacitors. They support Intel’s 12th, 13th, and 14th generation Core processors and offer two DDR5 memory slots, supporting speeds up to DDR5-8600+ (OC) with Intel XMP 3.0 technology. They have a maximum capacity of 96GB, supporting individual memory modules of 24/48GB. Each motherboard features a PCIe 5.0 x16 slot and two PCIe 4.0 M.2 slots (Hyper M.2) with x4 lanes, supporting M.2 2280 specifications, in addition to three SATA III ports and an M.2 2230 slot with a wireless card supporting Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3.
For rear I/O, both the Z790I Lightning WIFI and B760I Lightning WIFI are equipped with an HDMI 2.1 port, a DisplayPort 1.4 port, a USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C port, a USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A port, four USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A ports, and a 2.5Gbps Ethernet port (Dragon RTL8125BG). The audio solution for both is the Realtek ALC897, supporting 7.1 channels and Nahimic audio, alongside an optical SPDIF output port. For front I/O, both models feature a USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-C port, a USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A port (supporting two interfaces), and a USB 2.0 port (supporting two interfaces).
The release date and specific pricing for the Z790I Lightning WIFI and B760I Lightning WIFI remain undisclosed.
