Apple’s online store suspends sales in Russia

Apple’s online store has stopped selling all products in Russia, and all products are temporarily unavailable on the purchase page, including peripheral accessories. But it’s not just Apple’s online store that is actually affected. At present, all Apple products cannot enter Russia, and only retailer stocks can be sold. When these retailers run out of stock, Russian users can no longer buy any Apple hardware, and the prices of these products are currently soaring due to the ruble exchange rate.

In addition, the services such as Apple Pay and Google Pay have also been stopped in Russia, which may be related to Russia being kicked out of the SWIFT organization. It is currently almost impossible for Russian users to purchase international services in currencies such as the US dollar, and most payment platforms have disabled ruble conversion.

The Ukrainian government has also called on Apple to ban the App Store and cloud services in Russia, but Apple has not agreed because it affects a lot of users. Apple pulls Russian state-owned media outlets RT and Sputnik from global App Stores.
