Apple Watch Series 8 have no blood-pressure tool

Apple launched the Apple Watch Series 7 last year. Except for the on-cell OLED display with a higher screen ratio, the overall design has not changed much. Although there has been news that Apple is testing the addition of functions to detect blood sugar and blood pressure on the Apple Watch, and it has also been confirmed by Apple, it was not adopted due to reasons such as size and technology.

According to Bloomberg, Apple will abandon the introduction of blood sugar and blood pressure sensors on the Apple Watch Series 8, but it is likely to add temperature sensors and other health features. It is reported that the Apple Watch with the new sensor is still in the development stage and is being tested. It is rumored that Apple already owns relevant patents and will realize the function of blood sugar and blood pressure detection through non-invasive optical sensors. It is expected that the Apple Watch with this function will be released as soon as 2024, or even delayed until 2025.

It is rumored that the Apple Watch’s body temperature sensor has come out last year, but it has not been applied to the product, and this time it will be one of the new key features of the Apple Watch Series 8. Body temperature monitoring should be a very common function, and many things may be used in real life, such as monitoring whether the user has a fever.

Apple will probably launch the Apple Watch Series 8 this fall, likely to coincide with the launch of the iPhone 14 series.
