Apple is planning a more pronounced design transformation for its 10th iteration of the Apple Watch

Bloomberg News reporter Mark Gurman, in his Power On column, has revealed that Apple is planning a more pronounced design transformation for its 10th iteration of the Apple Watch. The makeover is expected to encompass a more svelte and lightweight chassis, coupled with a redesign of the watchband clasp.

Apple’s previous conspicuous shift with the iPhone X, which saw the complete removal of the Touch ID in favor of Face ID as the primary means of fingerprint identification, as well as a substantial increase in a screen display area, leads one to anticipate even more significant alterations in the upcoming 10th edition of the Apple Watch.

This anticipated model of the Apple Watch, slated for release in 2024 or 2025, is also expected to incorporate features long-rumored in the market, such as a Micro LED screen and blood pressure measurement capabilities. Additionally, the adoption of an entirely new watchband clasp design could mean that existing bands may not be compatible with the new Apple Watch.

If Apple is indeed concentrating its design innovations on the milestone 10th Apple Watch, it implies that this year’s projected update to the Apple Watch Series 9 may bear resemblance to last year’s model, with only minor upgrades to specific features and potentially no alterations in exterior design.
