AMD Radeon RX 7900 series public graphics cards leaked

At present, it is basically confirmed that AMD will be the first to launch Radeon RX 7900 XTX and RX 7900 XT two products based on RDNA 3 architecture GPU, both equipped with Navi 31 core. The former may have full specifications, namely 12,288 stream processors, 24GB of GDDR6 video memory, 384-bit video memory width, and 20 Gbps video memory rate, while the latter uses a reduced Navi 31 with 10,752 stream processors, 20GB of GDDR6 video memory, a 320-bit video memory bit width, and a video memory bandwidth of 800 GB/s.
Recently, Twitter user @9550pro exposed the AMD Radeon RX 7900 series of public graphics cards. According to the PCB design, it should be a prototype card. The back is not equipped with a backplane, there are some pins on it, which are provided for partners and OEM manufacturers to use for diagnosis and development. Under normal circumstances, the PCB of the official product will be changed from red to black.

By comparing with the Radeon RX 6900XT public version graphics card, we can see that the new public version graphics card is designed on the basis of the previous generation product, and it is also a three-fan cooling system, but it will be longer. In terms of power supply, the two are the same. Both are equipped with two 8Pin external power supply interfaces. Indeed, the 12VHPWR interface on the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 series is not used.

For the time being, it is uncertain whether the exposed graphic card is the Radeon RX 7900 XTX or the RX 7900 XT, and it is more likely the latter. Equipped with only two 8Pin external power supply interfaces, it seems to confirm the past introduction of AMD senior vice president, enterprise researcher, and product technology architect Sam Naffziger, that is, the improvement of the energy consumption ratio of the RDNA 3 architecture.

AMD will host a special livestream event called “together we advance_gaming” on November 3, 2022, to unveil next-generation Radeon graphics cards. AMD executives will then detail the high-performance, high-efficiency RDNA 3 architecture that provides gamers and content creators with new levels of performance, power efficiency, and functionality.
