AMD is slated to unveil a Starfield bundle with its Ryzen 7000 series CPUs

Starfield, developed by Bethesda Game Studios, is set to launch on Xbox Series S/X and PC platforms on September 6, 2023. This highly anticipated game of the year, featuring an all-new space theme, has attracted considerable attention, with Microsoft holding substantial expectations.

According to Wccftech, AMD is slated to unveil a Starfield bundle with its Ryzen 7000 series CPUs, wherein purchasers of the bundle will receive a free copy of the game. While neither AMD nor Bethesda has officially announced this promotional event, an overseas netizen discovered a new page on the Newegg e-commerce platform in the United States, seemingly confirming the news. The promotional information on the page indicates that the CPUs participating in this promotion total ten, including the Ryzen 9 7950X3D, Ryzen 9 7950X, Ryzen 9 7900X3D, Ryzen 9 7900, Ryzen 9 7900, Ryzen 7 7800X3D, Ryzen 7 7700X, Ryzen 7 7700, Ryzen 5 7600X, and Ryzen 5 7600.

Previously, AMD announced its collaboration with Bethesda, becoming the exclusive partner for the PC version of Starfield. The game will be optimized for the Ryzen 7000 series processors and Radeon RX 7000 series graphics cards. Therefore, the launch of the 7000 series CPU and Starfield bundle should form part of the AMD-Bethesda collaboration agreement. Bethesda Game Director Todd Howard stated that Starfield, crafted using the Creation 2 engine, would support FidelityFX Super Resolution 2 (FSR 2), thereby fully harnessing the performance of AMD’s multicore processors.

This is not the first time AMD has introduced a game bundle with its Ryzen 7000 series CPUs. For instance, in January of this year, AMD launched a bundle with Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is also an official collaborative game with AMD and supports the FidelityFX Super Resolution 2 technology.
